The following is a sketch from a notebook of mine, kept for several years now. At present I am undertaking a small project that attempts to reconcile crude lines into landscapes. It is part of a series, and I am sharing the first, though what is below is not the initial sketch. Formally it is quite simple, however part of what is intended is to present a hierarchy that is only almost absurd, nuanced contradiction as it were. All sketches were done while traveling and are amalgamations and abstractions of actual locales. It is my hope that the final product will prove worthy of a show that suits the overall ambitiousness of this project.
